I Replacement of a deteriorating bridge for the safety of the travelling public.

NCDOT proposes to replace an ewsting 3 span, 23.5 feet wide, 90.5 feet long timber bridge with a 39 foot wide,
105 foot long single box beam bridge. The proposed bridge will incorporate sloped abutments. The project will be
constructed using typical heavy equipment (backhoes, trackhoes, etc)

The exsting concrete footing along each bank will be retained and utilized as the "face" of riprap bank
stabili�tion, which will be placed upslope. An additional 9 feet of riprap bank stabilization is necessary since the
