Please note that all discharge under the current permit is generated from this water treatment plant. The backwash water produced comes from 2 sand filters and 2 ionic water softeners. There have been no changes in treatment since the issuance of the current permit. Since the backwash water does not produce any solids or sludge, Pamlico County Water System does not have a sludge management plan or a solids handling plan.
