Typical Cross Section Description: Two 10' lanes with 3' paved shoulders Two 10' lanes Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 720 Year: 2025 Existin : 420 Year: 2014 General Project Narrative: The existing bridge is 120'-6", three span bridge (1 @40'-4", 1@39'-10", 1@40-4") with a 60-degree skew and sloped abutments. The proposed bridge is 170'-0" (fill face to fill (Description of Minimization of Water face) three span bridge with 4' end bent caps and a 60-degree skew. The project is loctaed in the town of Lawsonville, NC on SR-1651 which is classified as a local rural route. Quality Impacts) The surrounding area is rural residential and agricultural land. The drainage area for Snow Creek at the crossing is approximately 13.3 square miles. The project drainage system consists of two drop inlets and pipe that drains to the toe of slope. A riprap apron is located at the end of the pipe outfall to dissipate energy. Deck drains are not required. In order to maintain a compact project footprint no new drainage ditches have been proposed, reducing impacts. Embankment protection on both banks of Snow Creek is also proposed to prevent future erosion and stream migration.
