Toni:
DWQ has reviewed the proposed stream enhancement and preservation plans for the above-referenced property. Our only
question/concern is that due to the low gradient of the mainstem of Greenbrier Creek, installation of the raised riffle structures
may restrict base flow, resulting in a series of pools separated by the riffle structures. We hope the riffle material selected for the
project will allow for both downstream flow through the interstitial spaces and for exchange between groundwater and the base
flow (development of a hyporheic zone).
However, DWQ deems the project issued, and we hope you work with the designed and construction contractor to address these
concerns.
Have a great day,
Eric
