Subject 2008 Monitoring Reports for On-Site Mitigation in Divisions 7, 9, and 11
Dear Mr Greene
The Division of Water Quality (Division) has reviewed your monitoring reports for the on-site
mitigation projects in Divisions 7, 9, and 11 Comments are provided below The Division has
no comments on the sites not listed below at this time
Division 7
UT to Hickory Creek (U-2524AB Site 28) Though this site was noted as stable, the monitoring
report indicated that at Sat 30+00-40SBREV, water continues to pipe under the crossvane
despite repairs The Division asks that this be closely monitored for stability, and any necessary
repairs be made
Long Branch (U2524AC Site 2BA) Two stations (17+50 and 20+00) are noted for minor bank
scouring on the right and left bank, respectively Again, the Division asks that this be closely
monitored for stability, and any necessary repairs be made
UT3 to Reddicks Creek (U2524AB Site 3) Station 36+80 is noted for minor bank scouring on
the right and left bank, respectively Again, the Division asks that this be closely monitored for
stability, and any necessary repairs be made
Division 9
Michael's Branch (B-3157) The Division understands that necessary repairs have been made at
this site Please continue to closely monitor this site for stability
Division 11
UT Dry Branch (R-3427 Site 6) The Division previously noted the presence on kudzu at this
site We are concerned about the success of this site if exotic vegetation is allowed to establish
The Division asks that DOT closely monitor the vegetation at this site, and take any necessary
actions to remove potentially devastating exotic vegetation
