Description
This work consists of furnishing a F/oating Tu�bldity Curtain to dete� silt suspension and
movement of silt particles during construction. The f/oating turbidity curtoin sholl be
constructed ot /ocotlons os directed.
Materials
The curtain mate�ia/ shall be made of a tight/y Woven ny/on, plastic or other nondeterioroting

Constructlon Metr�ods
The Controctor shall maintain the F/oating Turbidity Curtain in a satisfactory condition
until Its �emoval is requested by the Engineer. The curtaln shall extend to the bottom of
the Jurisdictionol resource. Anchor the curtoin occording to manufacturer
recommendations.

Flooting Turbidity Curtoin Will be meosured ond poid for as the octuol number of square
yords of curtoin furnished os specifled ond occepted. Such price ond poyment Will be full
compensation for the Work as described in this section inc/uding but not limited to

Purpose Used as instream erosion control filtration de�ice to isolate the
streambank work from the normal flow of the stream. This device
is narmally used in open �raters for cantainment in �ork zones.
May also be used acrass channels �ith very la�r fla�r far shart-
term �ork �hen anchored properly.

area is securely partitioned from the stream flow.
