The bridge consists of a reinforced (Description of Minimization of Water concrete floor on timberjoists. The bridge is 29'-9" wide out-to-out, and is skewed 90 degrees to the road. 100' long bridge with a span arrangement of 1@40', 1@60' utilizing Quality Impacts) 21" cored slabs. The proposed bridge will incorporate sloped abutments with 2.5' caps skewed at 90 degrees to the roadway. In accordance with Tar-Pamlico River Buffer regulations, the proposed bridge does not contain deck drains. Runoff from the bridge will be captured by a grate inlet and discharged onto a Class B rip rap outlet pad at -L- 15+g3 (LT) outside the buffer. There is a slight increase in the impervious area of the project, however there is no significant increase in the discharge from the roadway runoff. The proposed project utilizes 2' base and 'V' ditches to replace existing ditches that are impacted by the project. The northwest and northeast quadrants are dispersed by these ditches at a slight grade to reduce velocities prior to outleting into the wetlands.
