There were no jurisdictional wetlands delineated within the project area and the project will ultimately impact upon <0.01 acre of Surface Waters. Basically, 0.0037 acres of Surface Water impacts will occur for Bank Stabilization (rip-rap slope protection for the roadside ditch and pile footprint). With the minimal impacts proposed I believe that the project is a non-reporting Nationwide Permit #3 / WQC 4085. James J. The existing bridge is 3@25' concrete deck on concerete channels with timber piles and vertical timber abutments. No Quality Impacts) deck drains will be used on the structure, reducing stream pullution associated with roadway runoff. Additional measures implemented to reduce impacts to the stream and surrounding properties include, maintaining exsting drainge patterns, using 3:1 fill slopes and discharging stormwater runoff as far away from the stream as is practicable. Further, rip rap is used at drainage outlets to dissipate energy and reduce erosion.
