The review indicates that the IUP is adequate and meets the minimum requirements of 15A NCAC 2H
.0905 and .0916 and 40 CFR 403.8(f)(1)(iii) Your allocation table, maintained in the Division's database,
has been updated accordingly.
It appears that there is a typographical error on the Limits Page. The cyanide daily max limit is listed as
0.021 mg/I. I believe the intended limit is 1.21 mg/I If that is true, please correct the limits page and
ensure that the industry has a copy of the corrected page and send a copy to PERCS Also, the nickel
daily max and monthly average are set at the same limit of 0.100 mg/l. Make any corrections as
necessary
The next time this IUP is modified or renewed please include the changes that were made in this
renewal to the IUP Modification History
Federal and State pretreatment regulations require the local delegated pretreatment program to
effectively control and document the discharge of wastewater from Significant/Categorical Industrial
Users to the POTW. It is the POTW's responsibility to ensure that these objectives are consistently met.
