This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NC0086436. The facility appeared to be compliant at the time of the inspection, however rust remains an issue at this plant. It does not appear actions have been taken to paint this plant. Given the age of this WWTP, the amount of rust is concerning. Therefore, as noted in a previous inspection, Buncombe County Schools should draw down this plant and evaluate the need for sanding and painting.
