The site is site is located near 400 Industrial Boulevard in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina. The site consists of an approximate 20 foot wide sewer line crossing over Parker Creek. Parker Creek is perennial stream shown on both the USGS topo and USDA soil maps. The project was designed to not impact jurisdictional waters of the US, and use as narrow of a buffer crossing as possible. The USACE and NCDWR have given approval for the use of Nationwide Permit 12 and Water Quality Certification 3884 without written notification. The installation will use an aerial crossing with anti -seep collars and minimal rip rap placement. No work will be conducted in the stream channel to minimize aquatic impacts. Total proposed permanent buffer impacts include 1,674 (sqft) in Zone 1 and 489 (sqft) in Zone 2. The proposed maintenance corridor is 20'. We look forward to your attention to this request. CG Fi/e CgoY October 17, 2017 Board of Commissioners Pitt Count Drainage District #4 115 W. 3r Street Greenville, NC 27834 Subject: FedEx Freight Project — Industrial Blvd. Proposed Sanitary Sewer Aerial Creek Crossing Intersection of Parker Creek & Lateral #2 Southeast Property Corner of Grady White Boats Dear Commissioners, Greenville Utilities Commission (GUC) requests your approval for an 8 -inch diameter gravity flow sanitary sewer main to cross Parker Creek to serve existing and proposed commercial/industrial customers in the vicinity of Industrial Blvd. and Old Creek Road. Attached is information locating the proposed crossing site along with sketches of the proposed sewer routing commencing at an existing sewer manhole located on the north side of Parker Creek in the southeast property corner of Grady White Boats. As shown on the attached sketch, the sewer will extend to the proposed new FedEx Freight site on the south side of Industrial Boulevard. The existing sewer manhole on the Grady White Boats property is approximately 635 LF from the project site. The next closest available gravity sewer is approximately 3,000 LF westerly along Industrial Boulevard. The existing TriEst Ag Group on the north side of Industrial Blvd. is also requesting sewer service for their property on the east side of the R/R spur track. The creek crossing design will maintain 30 -inches of clearance between the creek bottom and the bottom of the sewer pipe to allow for any potential debris hang up during a rain event to clear away when the creek level returns to normal depth. The pipe will be rigid span ductile iron and will span the entire creek width with no visible support piers. Please be aware that GUC's sewer collection system permit contains a Priority Inspection Locations list (see attached). This list contains all aerial R.) Box 1847 spans and other categories as well. We are required by state regulation to Grrem 114, NC ';3s inspect all locations on this list twice per year. Any detrimental pipeline or 111111%91.1.1111 bank stabilization issues identified will be addressed. Board of Commissioners Pitt County Drainage District #4 October 17, 2017 Page 2 We appreciate your review and consideration of this request.
