Mr. Kerr,
On October 30, 2017, the Division of Water Resources (Division) received your application dated October 25, 2017,
requesting a 401 Water Quality Certification from the Division for the subject project. The Division has determined that
your application is incomplete and cannot be processed. The application is on hold until all of the following items are
addressed: [15A NCAC 02H .0507 (c)]

1. Please provide a detail of the proposed sea wall incorporating class B rip -rap below the full pool elevation in
accordance with Duke Energy Shoreline Management Guidelines. I have attached an example for reference (Dry
stack Boulder Wall Detail).
Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502(c), the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested information for the
proper consideration of the applications. If all of the requested information is not received by December 14, 2017, the
Division will be unable to approve the application and it will be returned. The return of this project will necessitate
reapplication to the Division for approval, including a complete application package and the appropriate fee.
