IT CONSISTS OF A COMBINATION OF REPLACEMENT AND POINT REPAIRS AND RESPONDING TO AND CORRECTING THE SERVICE DEFECTS GENERAL NOTE: ALL CONSTRUCTION TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL CITY OF EDEN STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS. ALL SEWER MAINS WITHIN PUBLIC EASEMENTS SHALL BE OWNED, OPERATED & MAINTAINED BY THE CITY OF EDEN. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DIVERTING FLOW TO NEW SEWERS FROM THE EXISTING SEWER. SEWERS SHALL BE ABANDONED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS. EROSION CONTROL: CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN EROSION CONTROL DEVICES AND TO PREVENT SEDIMENTATION DAMAGE TO ALL ADJACENT PROPERTIES AND STREAMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EROSION CONTROL PLANS AND THE CURRENT NORTH CAROLINA EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION MANUAL. STANDING WATER WITHIN THE PROJECT LIMITS SHOULD BE PREVENTED. ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE STABILIZED AND SEEDED AND MULCHED AT THE DIRECTION OF THE ENGINEER.
