The existing bridg� cross Cove Creek {C�ass: C). The project is located within a trout watershed. T�is project does not drain to designated critical habitat for the ellc toe mussel. This project was rreviewed %r the presance af threatened a�d endangered species in the fiald and � have also inciuded a query af the N�NHP c�atabase. Based an the project area mapped with my request, the c�ata�ase search indicates that there are no records of any federally iisted threatened ar ez�dangered species, impo�rtant na#ural communities, natural areas, or conservation/managed areas within the proposed praject ba�ndary. The NLEB is listed as a protected species in this county but the project does not fall r�vithin 0,25 miles of any red H[JC zdentified in the SLOPES spelled out in the Nationwide Pertnit Regional Conditions. No clearing is needed. We do not anticipate a�ay impact to any other fed�ally listed s�ecies. CultUral resource campliance work has been completed. No archaeological resources or historic properties witl be affected by t1�is project {see attacized). The project impacts are not significant in nature and should not alter the hest usage for this streair�. All appropr�ate BMPs wi�l be used during construction. Attached is a Preconsh-uction Notification Form, pian sheets, a�narked topography map and a NHP report. By copy of this electronic letter, it is requested that the Division of Water Resources, 401/Wetlands Unit, issue the appro�riate permit for canstruction af this project. It is cequested khat any comments reiated to the 401 certification be ��ectronicaily forwarded directly to me with a copy sen� ta #he US Army Corps of Engineers.
