(SR 1438) to Downey Lake Rd (SR 1458), from 2 lanes to three lanes. The project includes 3 (Description of Minimization of Water jurisdictional stream crossings, closed system drainage, and road side ditches. 1.5:1 (rock plated) fill slopes were used throughout the project to limit impacts to jurisdictional Quality Impacts) streams and wetlands. The jurisdictional crossings include a proposed 26' downstream extension of the existing 3@ 9' x 9' RCBC (Str. No. 350018 on Little Beaverdam Creek) and a 24' downstream extension of the existing 2@ 7' x 8' RCBC (Little Long Creek). No invert burial is proposed on these extensions and will require a waiver from the USACOE. Preformed scour holes were used where practical at pipe outlets to dissipate energy and promote diffuse flow into jurisdictional areas. At jurisdictional stream crossings, bank stabilization was used at the outlets in lieu of standard rip-rap pads where practical. At these outlets, pipe slopes were minimized to reduce flow velocities into the streams. On the 2@ 7' x 8' RCBC extension, Class'I' Rip-Rap will be installed in the stream bed (backfilled with native material to remove voids) upstream and downstream of the culvert forming constructed glides. This would remedy the perched inverts of the culvert and address the pool forming at the inlet.
