The bridge replacement and associated approaches have been designed to minimize increases in impervious surface area and maintain existing drainage Quality Impacts) patterns. No deck drains are proposed for the replacement bridge. Deck drainage will be collected by grate inlets at the roadway sag location north of the bridge and discharged to a roadway ditch on the east side of the road. A rip-rap outlet pad will be installed at the dicharge pipe to protect against erosion. Proposed ditches on the northeast and southwest quadrants of the bridge are intended to replace existing roadway ditches that will be covered by shoulder fill material, and are of similar size and grade to the existing ditches they will replace. Rip-rap ditch linings are proposed for all or portions of the proposed ditches to control runoff velocity and erosion.
