Lauren,
We received the letter from DWQ dated January 14, 2009 (attached) for the above referenced project. Your letter requested us to relocate the level spreader such that
it is parallel to contour lines and that the bypass channel is completely outside of the filter strip area. We have addressed this comment by relocating the level spreader
parallel to existing contour lines and providing proposed graded contours to illustrate how the filter strip area will be graded so that it does not drain towards the bypass
channel. This filter strip area will be permanently vegetated with native trees and grasses as shown on the planting plan. This area today consist of a compacted
gravel driveway and bare earth. The Town of Wake Forest will oversee the construction of this BMP and provide future maintenance for the BMP.
On behalf of the Town of Wake Forest we attach a pdf file showing this revision for review. If you concur with the revision, we would submit five copies of revised plans
as requested. Thank you for your consideration.
