Amy,
Yesterday, we reviewed EC measures and sediment loss cleanup efforts around most of the problem areas per Todd Hiatt's
recent ICA 9(attached). Recent intense storm events caused flooding and many EC measures were blown out including those at
waste pit/slope sites. Given the weather conditions, DOT staff/contractors are doing the best they can, but much more needs to
be done. I agreed with Todd and Tim Latham (NCDMLR) that the project should not resume operations until EC measures are
repaired/installed and JS areas cleaned as directed by Roadside staff, NCDMLR and myself. Greg Johnston, DOT on-site project
engineer representative, agreed. A few pictures are attached (Site 10 inlet picture is Station 346 RT per Todds attached report).
