As required by the Dan River Stormwater Diversion Project Individual Permit, Action ID: SAW-2015-01381, Duke Energy herby
provides written notification to satisfy special conditions 4 and 7 of the permit.

Special Condition 4

Duke Energy’s project team has reviewed the permit drawings submitted with the application package and the final construction
drawings. Duke Energy found there are no deviations between the two sets of drawings. Therefore, the project will be
constructed per the plans submitted with the permit application package and attached to the permit and in compliance with Special
Condition 1.

Special Condition 7

After Duke Energy’s pre-construction meeting, work on the stormwater diversion project is scheduled to begin. The pre-
construction meeting will be held on the morning of Friday November 3, 2017. Work on the project is scheduled to commence
after the meeting. The project is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2019.

Duke Energy believes with the written notification above, Special Conditions 4 and 7 of Action ID: SAW-2015-01381 have been
satisfied. If this is not the case please contact me.
