Aid No: Funding: X State Federal Federal X Yes No Permit NWP 3 Permit s : Ty e(s): ProiectDescrintion: Replace Bridge No. 90 on SR 1719 (Brannon Road) over Norris Creek off-site detour lanned, assume no im rovements . SUMMARY OF HISTORIC ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPES REVIEW DESCRIPTION OFREVIEWACTIVITIES, RESULTS, AND CONCLUSIONS: HPOWeb reviewed on 13 July 2016 and yielded no NR, SL, LD, DE, or SS properties in the Area of Potential EfFects (APE). Franklin County current GIS mapping, aerial photography, and tax information indicated a mostly wooded APE with some development (viewed 13 July 2016). Resources within the APE (residential and one church) date to the 1980s-2000s and are unexceptional examples of their types. Constructed in 1966, Bridge No. 90 is not eligible for the National Register as it is neither aesthetically nor technologically significant. Google Maps "Street View" confirmed the absence of critical architectural and landscape resources in the APE (viewed 13 July 2016). No architectural survey is required for the project as currently defined. WHYTHEAVAILABLE INFORMATIONPROVIDESA RELIABLE BASIS FOR REASONABLYPREDICTING THAT THERE ARE NO UNIDENTIFIED SIGNIFICANT HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL OR LANDSCAPE RESOURCES IN THEPROJECTAREA: APE extends 750 feet from either end of the existing bridge (E-W) and 100 feet to either side of the SR 1719 (Brannon Road) centerline (N-S) to encompass proposed construction activities. The comprehensive county architectural survey (1974-1976) and later studies have recorded no resources in the APE. County GIS and other visuals illustrate the absence of significant architectural and landscape resources in the APE. No National Register-listed properties are located within the APE. Should the design of the project change, please notif,y NCDOT Historic Architecture as additional review may be necessary.
