FOR TWO PROJECTS IN SALISBURY
U-5738: WIDENING OF JULIAN ROAD FROM U.S. 601 (JAKE ALEXANDER ROAD) TO I-85
Y-55001A: CLOSURE OF THE RAILROAD CROSSING ON HENDERSON GROVE CHURCH ROAD
SALISBURY, ROWAN COUNTY
The N. C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting in November regarding
two projects in Salisbury. Project U-5738 proposes to widen Julian Road (S.R. 2528) between
U.S. 601 (Jake Alexander Road) and I-85. Project Y-5001A proposes to close the railroad crossing
on Henderson Grove Church Road (S.R. 1526).
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 14 at the Atrium Building at Rowan-
Cabarrus Community College located at 1333 Jake Alexander Boulevard South in Salisbury
from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interested citizens may attend at any time during the meeting hours.
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding
the projects. Please note that no formal presentation will be made. Citizens will also have the
opportunity to submit comments and questions in writing. Comments received will be taken
into consideration as the project develops.
