Dear Agency Representative:
SUBJECT: Notification of start of activities for NCDOT State Transportation Improvement Program projects to be let in 2019 and
2021.
The NCDOT Highway Division 9 has begun the planning, environmental, and engineering studies for the projects listed in the
attached spreadsheet. These projects are state funded; however, a federal permit is anticipated for both projects.
The NCDOT would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating potential environmental
impacts of the projects. A vicinity map for each project is attached.
Please note that there will be no formal interagency meeting for these projects. It is desirable that your agency respond by
December 15, 2017 concerning any beneficial or adverse impacts of the proposed projects. If you would like additional time to
provide comments, please let me know.
