An outline of each dredge cut is shown above in red. The lot to the left is located at 7612 Cottonwood Drive in Denver N.C. The scope of their work is to deepen the area inside the boat slip only. Excavation will be performed by hydraulic bucket dredge on barge and will remove an area 12x25x4 feet deep for a volume of 44 cubic yards. The center parcel is located at 76J.NCottonwood Drive. This dock will be removed and an area 45x35x3 will be dredged. This dredge cut constitutes approximately 166 cubic yards. The parcel on the right is located at 7632 Cottonwood Lane. This lot has been previously dredged, however the dredge cut is vertical and the homeowner wants to slope the dredge cut to the 3:1 required by the current guidelines. This work involves a perimeter cut around the existing dredge cut and will comprise 15 cubic yards. Total Yardage removed through this joint application request will be 226 cubic yards. The material will be removed by barge using a mechanical, hydraulic excavator dredge. The material will be unloaded at the commercial staging area on Lake Norman controlled by CBC and the final disposition of the spoils will be at the CBC spoil storage area on Highway 150-152 in Mooresville, NC. The total acreage impacted involves 2175 square feet or .049 Acre. All dredge cuts will be excavated to a depth of minus 10 feet from full pool, or an elevation of 750 MSL. The sides of all dredge cuts will be sloped to approximately 3:1.
