As discussed on October 25, 2016 and subsequent meetings between NCDEQ, Duke Energy, and
Duke Energy consultants, evaluations have been performed on site-specific bases to recommend
groundwater and soil data for use in calculating site-specific groundwater and soil background
values. Attached you will find tech memos and evaluation tables produced by HDR
summarizing the groundwater and soil datasets recommended for use in calculating respective
