The Project Development and Environmental Analysis Branch is starting the project
development, environmental and engineering studies for the replacement of the following bridges
in Division 8 listed below These projects are included in the North Carolina Transportation
Improvement Program and are scheduled for construction in fiscal year 2012 The projects that
are included are
B-4728 Chatham County Replace Bridge No 251 on SR 1102 over Brush Creek
B-4796 Randolph County Replace Bridge No 24 on SR 1114 over West Fork of Little
River
B-4615 Richmond County Replace Bridge No 46 on SR 1419 over Hitchcock Creek
B-4817 Scotland County Replace bridge No 23 on US 17 over Gum Swamp Creek
When alternatives have been studied, we will provide you a copy of the Natural Resources
Technical Report (NRTR) per your request At this time, we are soliciting information about
these projects to be used in the preparation of a federally funded Categorical Exclusion If your
agency has critical information that can be furnished at this time, please feel free to do so by
January 23, 2009
