SUBJECT Division 9 Bridge Replacement Projects
Dear Sir or Madam
The Project Development and Environmental Analysis Branch is starting the project
development, environmental and engineering studies for the replacement of the following bridges
in Division 9 listed below These projects are included in the North Carolina Transportation
Improvement Program and are scheduled for construction in fiscal year 2012 The projects that
are included are
B-4744 Forsyth County Replace Bridge No 15 on SR 1604 over Little Yadkin River
B-4645 Stokes County Replace Bridge Nos 29 and 30 on US 52 over Little Yadkin
River
B-4810 Rowan County Replace Bridge No 12 on SR 1547 over Back Creek
B-4809 Rowan County Replace Bridge No 221 on SR 1308 over Lake Fisher
B-4970 Forsyth County Replace Bridge No 211 on SR 2377 over Southern Railway
When alternatives have been studied, we will provide you a copy of the Natural
Resources Technical Report (NRTR) per your request At this time, we are soliciting
information about these projects to be used in the preparation of a federally funded Categorical
Exclusion If your agency has critical information that can be furnished at this time, please feel
free to do so by January 23, 2009
