Dear Mr. Plate:
The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application for a 401 Water Quality
Certification for the subject project on November 12, 2008. 1 have reviewed the application and
a site visit was conducted on December 12, 2008. Based on the site visit and per my
discussion in the field with you and Chris Matthews the following comments were made:
A) The proposed stream impact lengths need to be clarified/rechecked.
B) Please provide a longitudinal profile of the proposed culverts.
C) The extension of the runway for the airport and this project should be combined for
clarity.
Pursuant to 15A NCAC 2H .0507(h), please be advised that this project will be placed on
hold until the information is received. If you have questions regarding this matter, please
