Dear. Mr. Turner:
The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) 401 Oversight and Express Review Permitting Unit has reviewed
the Year 1 Monitoring Report for the above-referenced site. Our review has generated several questions
regading this site.
The information presented in Table 1 of the monitoring report is unclear, and does not appear to
correlate with the various stream lengths presented in the Restoration Plan (December 2006).
Please provide detailed information on the following:
Main Tributary restoration length (linear feet) and enhancement 2 length (LF)
South Trib East braided channel restoration length (LF) and enhancement 2 length (LF)
South Trib West restoration length (LF) and enhancement 2 length (LF)
With respect to the conditions at the site, the monitoring report did not include a description or indicate
the condition of the braided channel restoration, nor was any mention made of the water quality
depressional wetlands which were included in a Site Plan and Addendum Letter to the restoration plan,
dated May 14, 2007.
Please provide some comments and photographs documenting the conditions associated with these
features, as these are not features typical of stream restoration projects.
