Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting regarding the proposed corridor study to connect U.S. 74 Business in southeast Rockingham to U.S. 1 and Aberdeen Road to the northeast. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Richmond Community College, Cole Auditorium, located at 1042 W. Hamlet Avenue in Hamlet. The purpose of the public meeting will be to share information about the project and to gather input from the public on potential options under consideration and about the environmental and community resources in the project study area. The public may attend at any time during the above mentioned hours. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding the project. The opportunity to submit written comments will also be provided at the meeting or via phone, email, or mail by October 13, 2017. Comments received will be taken into consideration as the project develops. Please note that no formal presentation will be made.
