The New Leaf Society has recently purchased (last week) the VFW building on the downstream right bank of the project. The overall land use will not change as they are proposing to use the site as parking and access to the park; however the City of Burlington would like to see a BMP installed even if it cannot be sized to achieve optimal water quality standards. We are currently trying to site the BMP but due to the proximity of the creek, it will be within the buffer zone. My hope is to have this resolved and the drawings updated by the end of the next week. Does this still fit within the review timeline? I would need to input his design into CAD and then recalculate the buffer impacts, with the intent of having the deliverable resubmitted to you by Friday 8/25/17. Is that acceptable? I wanted to touch base with you about Willowbrook Park in Burlington, NC. I have reached out to the landscape architect for the arboretum, however he has been on vacation all week and has not yet returned my emails. I am hoping to touch base with him Monday to determine what action we should take as a team in determining the buffer impacts. As soon as I can get a timeline from him next week, I will contact you with our plan to move forward. Thank you for reaching out and giving us the opportunity to resolve this in a timely manner. Talk to you next week. Emmett E OSYSTENI PLANNING & FRESTCRATJON Emmett Perdue, PE Water Resource Engineer 919.215.6757 (cell) 919.388.0787 (office)
