By way of this email and on behalf of the Village of Bald Head Island (Applicant), Land Management Group, Inc. (LMG)
(agent) is requesting to place a voluntary hold on the processing of the recent modification request to the State 401
Certification for the Village's Terminal Groin Project (modification request for use of a borrow site on Frying Pan
Shoals).
The Village is currently evaluating options to help address comments received from the National Marine Fisheries Service
(NMFS) during the federal Public Notice period. We anticipate scheduling an agency meeting to present a revised
proposal that would prioritize the use of the previously authorized Jay Bird Shoals borrow site.
