Charlie has done a boring at the proposed locations of the two ponds and has determined that the SHWT is only 18-14 inches below the ground surface. Charlie suggests that surveying needs to be done to determine the elevations of the boring locations to assist with the pond design. As the October 29, 2008 Request for More Information letter states, the permanent pool elevation of the ponds must be at or above the level of the SHWT to assure that the adjacent wetlands are not dewatered. In the resubmittal for this project, please include: - Results from the soil tests, - Updated pond design plans if a redesign was necessary to protect the adjacent wetlands (see the Required Items Checklist for Wet Detention Ponds for guidance about what should be included - on the cross-section of the ponds, be sure to depict the SHWT), and - A planting plan for the vegetated shelves of the wet detention ponds. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely, Annette Lucas Dennis Burton wrote: Annette, Appreciate you taking my call earlier. Here is the overall plan.
