90 Day Notification of Closure of Wastewater Treatment System
In accordance with Part III, Section E - Facility Closure Requirements, of the H. F. Lee Steam Electric Plant -
Permit Number NC0003417, we are notifying the Division of our plans to close the sanitary wastewater
treatment sub -system of the Cooling Water Pond (Outfall 002) treatment system. This sub -system consists of
accumulation pits, pumping systems, settling tanks, sand bed filters, and associated piping, wiring, controls, and
structures. It receives and treats the sewage effluent from the adjacent 2 -story office/shop building which is to
be demolished.
