Dear Mr. lager:
The final plans and specifications for the subject project have been rev -Lowed
and foun3 to be satisfactory. Authorisation is hereby granted for the construc-
tion of internal modifications to the existing ash storage basin at kiverbend St an
Station, consisting of r diversion dike constructed to elevation 720 feet and ter-
minated approximately 300 feet from the vest bank of the aah storage basin, to pro-
vide a channel for flow to the discharge tower.
Tais is a C1asy I Wastewater Treatment Plant which requires the person in
responsible charge hold a valid Grade I Certificate.
Ynft Authorisation to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the
wastewater treatment facilities and modifications are constructed in accordance
with the couditions and limitations specified in Permit No. AC 0004961.
Also, enclosed is a copy of ,TPC Form f50 "Cost of Wastewater Treatment Works."
This fora is to be completed and returned to this office within thirty (30) days
after the project is cosctpleted.

Ash Basin Modifications

Dear Mr. Hager:
August 6, 1979
Final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the con-
struction of modifications to the existing ash storage basin at Riverbend
Steam Station, consisting of the following:
1. Raise the ash diversion dike and the dikes surrounding
the south basin to elevation 730.
2. Modify earth embankments.
3. Construct a primary ash tower at the northwest corner
of the primary (south basin) to control flow from the
south basin to the north basin.
This is a Class I Wastewater Treatment Plant which requires the operator
in responsible charge to hold a valid Grade I Certificate.
This Authorisation to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the
wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accordance with the conditions
and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0004961.
Also, enclosed is a copy of WPC Form #50 "Cost of Wastewater Treatment Works."
This form is to be completed and returned to this office within thirty (30) days
after the project is completed.
One (1) set of approved plans and specifications is being forwarded to you.
