It’s been two years since the toxic spill in the Dan River, but coal-ash pits are still leaking. The Dan River spill showed us just how dangerous coal ash is – people across the state are still drinking bottled water to protect their health. It is irresponsible to allow Duke Energy to continue polluting our waterways with toxic coal ash. Put North Carolina's health and our environment ahead of polluters. Don’t give Duke Energy permits to continue dumping toxic coal ash in our rivers and streams.
