Subject:Atlantic Coast Pipeline
I am writing to oppose the ACP…the ecological issues alone should rule out the project, erosion of soil, muddying of streams,
damage to wetlands, and potential for leaks further putting our ground water and soils to chemical damage. While I see the
environmental costs prohibitive, I do not see the financial benefit for the population. Oil is a major culprit in greenhouse
emissions, so many Americans are already cutting back on petroleum use via increased mileage standards, hybrid and all
electric vehicles, even going solar to convert the sun energy into electricity for vehicles. Investment in this old energy
technology only continues our dependence on the unstable Middle East. Please say, “NO” and keep pressure on us to become
world leaders in developing clean energy sources for work wide consumption.
