It will potentially harm our environment as we've already seen with the Keystone Pipeline (https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016- 04-08/keystone-pipeline-leak-worse-than-thought). We don't need a pipeline running through North Carolina that could potentially damage our environment, our health, and our community. Society is moving towards renewable energy and building this expensive pipeline will just raise rates for the end users (the citizens that government is meant to serve). The only stakeholders that benefit from this pipeline are Duke and Dominion. Utilities are encouraged to build expensive projects in order to ask North Carolina Utility Commission for rate increases. This is another ploy to increase our energy rates. We hope that our local government will do everything in its power to stop this unnecessary pipeline in order to protect its citizen's health, environment, and wallets.
