To Whom It May Concern:

I'm writing to ask that you refuse to provide water and wetland permits for the construction of the Atlantic Coast
Pipeline. I understand that nearly 600 acres of forested wetlands could be cleared for the pipeline project. The
consequences of so much wetland being destroyed are not known, but at the very least, it would destroy the habitat of
many species of birds as well as other wildlife. Wetlands also act as a filtration system and help with erosion. As
someone who loves to hike as well as watch wildlife, I find the idea of so much habitat being destroyed both depressing
and distressing. Please do not issue the water and wetlands permits required for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. Please
protect the natural beauty of our coast.
