Subject:REJECT ACP
The Neuse River is already one of the most polluted in the United States, thanks in large part to unregulated hog farm
run off and indescrimate polluting by upstream industries. Now the ACP threatens to further compromise the health of
this critical waterway. It is time for NC's Department of Environmental Quality to put a stop to this and DENY the 401
Permit for the construction of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline through our state. Erosion, destruction of wetlands, lost
revenues to NC's tourism and fishering industries, and general degradation of water quality MUST be the primary
cosiderations. Put the economic health and quality of life of NC's citizens first -- not the profits of big businesses that
offer no benefit to local communities.
