Many of my own family members and I were born and grew up on our parents and grandparents farm and want to continue to farm, fish and build on land that is not polluted and devalued for future generations. That by allowing the ACP to happen, it would be an EXTREME exploitation of our community of mainly African- American farms. Farms that have for many years been a source of income of livelihood in our African- American Community. Our farms produce natural/organic foods for us and we want them to stay that way. This pipeline will contaminate our waterways, water sources, be destructive to our ecosystem/habitat, and destroy our precious mineral resources. In addition, we will lose acres of land and our farms will be devalued/degraded. Our property rights will be restricted as to what and when we can build on our own farms. No pipeline last forever, instead they can and have in many instances succumbed to leaks, breaks and rust which can cause devastating impact to the environment. When, not if, this does happen the citizens and taxpayers of Halifax County will bare the short & long term consequences of clean-up and repairs, NOT the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. We do not want nor need a pipeline on our land! PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT ISSUE ANY PERMITS OR CERTIFICATION TO ATLANTIC COAST PIPELINE AND THEIR AFFILIATES/COMPANIES TO DESTROY THE PURITY OF OUR WATER, WATERWAYS AND ENVIRONMENT!! HELP US!! HELP US!! PLEASE SAY NO/REJECT THIS PIPELINE OR ANY PIPELINE TO PROTECT OUR WATERWAYS, WATER AND ENVIRONMENT. Sincerely, Normandy Solomon Blackman 1
