The people of NC do not want or need pipelines running through our state. Research shows the high failure rate of
pipelines https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pipeline_accidents_in_the_United_States_in_the_21st_century and
their benefit will be to the corporations who own them.
Pipelines present a threat to the rivers and lakes and all of the waterways downstream of them. Eastern North Carolina
makes their living from fishing and tourists (who fish). Pipelines present a clear and present danger to our livelihoods.

I am asking the Div. of Water Resources to deny the 401 permit for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline.

Thank you for your action in saving NC from harm.
