To the Dept. of Environmental Quality:

I am writing to I ask the Div. of Water Resources not to grant a 401 WQC permit for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline.

Duke and Dominion have NOT shown that the ACP will not harm North Carolina's waters. In fact, I believe it will be
impossible to construct the ACP without adverse impacts to streams, rivers, wetlands, groundwater, aquatic life, human
health and human and environmental rights.

Fending off the looming devastations of climate change requires us all to de-invest in fossil fuel systems and invest in
solar and wind. Fracked gas is not better than oil and coal, and these invasive and hazardous pipelines will in short order
no longer be profitable -- but by then the damage will be done.

Please have the foresight to demand the highest standards for public health and safety. Our citizens deserve no less.
