This is the same argument that the NCDEQ needs to decline Duke & Dominion application for the ACP thru NC The NC ACP would cross 8 sources of water in protected watersheds. Three of those are zoned critical concern. Crossing these areas would impact downstream drinking water. Water needed by the ACP for hydro static testing and dust control must be quantified. Locations of withdrawals and discharge must be identified. Lack of state rules for water withdrawal is concerning Since gas fired power demand is essentially flat, there is no need for the ACP.
