The purpose of this letter is to formally document that NC DENR Division of Water
Quality has approved the use of ferric sulfate in our ash basins to control Total
Suspended Solids (TSS). These facilities do perform routine toxicity testing at all the
NPDES outfalls from the ash basin discharges.
