I'm worried about the damage it could cause to our environment and our waterways. Fracking is bad. Period. Fracking causes earthquakes, burning tap water, poisoned groundwater, and poisoned WATER. Fracking should be banned. It's not even profitable anymore. Building yet more infrastructure to prolong the use of fracking is environmental suicide. The construction of the pipeline could harm aquatic life and habitats, smothering spawning beds and fish eggs. These spawning and nursery areas are essential to endangered species such as the Atlantic sturgeon and the Shortnose sturgeon, and home to the Neuse River Waterdog, Carolina Madtom, and several other species of concern in North Carolina. For these reasons, I urge you to reject the 401 Water Quality Certification application from Atlantic Coast Pipeline LLC. Thank you. Sincerely, Paula Bishop 83 Appalachian Way ASHEVILLE, NC 28806 1
