Water Treatment Plant Upgrades, Hubert WTP, Onslow County
Dear Sir/Madam:
ARCADIS, on behalf of the Onslow County Water and Sewer Authority (ONWASA),
formerly the Onslow County Public Utilities Department, requests a permit renewal
for the subject project. The associated and previously approved 404 permit expired
on March 18, 2007; therefore, rendering the 401 permit expired. Neither the
proposed construction activities nor the impacts have changed from those originally
approved. The Section 404 Nationwide Permit 12 was renewed by the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers on 15 October 2008 (Action ID. SAW 2004-00491).
The project included installing new wells and raw water transmission lines to the
Hubert WTP form the Castle Hayne aquifer system. Most of the project work has
been completed, with the exception of the HTW7/Rogers Site. A table showing the
permanent and temporary impacts and the status of the construction each well site is
provided below.
