Dear Ms. Karoly: __ On behalf of our client H&M Company, Inc. we submit the enclosed- information for your review and approval with respect to a Section 401 water quality certification for proposed impacts to jurisdictional wetlands This project involves the development of an 84-acre parcel of land located within the Craven County Industrial Park for the purpose of constructing a commercial warehouse. fihe site is partially wooded and partially agricultural fields. Work associated with the project includes the removai of exisfing vegetation, construction of a stormwater management system, rough;and finish grading, corutruction of the building, access roads, loading bays, parking areas, and utilities. The disturbed area created by the proposed work contains approximately 61.8 acres. Three wetland areas are located within the projec site and #hey contain a total of 2.19 acres. Impacts to two of the wetland areas are associated with the infial construction and this permit request, and total 0.45 acres. These areas are labeled in enclosure 3 as wetland areas 1 and 2, and they are located east and south of the proposed construction, respectively. Construction associated with potential future building expansion to the east, as indicated on the site plan, would impact an additional 0.75 acres of wetland area 1, but permission for the additional impacts are not being sought at this time.
