NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR PROPOSED
IMPROVEMENTS TO (SR 2467) MALLARD CREEK ROAD FROM SR 2480 (SUGAR
CREEK ROAD) TO SR 2665 (W T HARRIS BOULEVARD) IN CHARLOTTE

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the above
Citizens Informational Workshop on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 between the hours of
4 00 pm and 7 00 pm at Vance High School, in the cafeteria, located at 7600 IBM Drive,
Charlotte, 28262
Aerial mapping depicting the proposed project will be displayed and
NCDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on a one-to-one basis
throughout the workshop Interested individuals may attend this workshop at their
convenience during the above stated hours Please note there will be no formal
presentation
A Citizens Informational Workshop is held to provide the public an opportunity to
participate in the planning process and update them on a project's status Comments
and information received from the public will be taken into consideration as work on this
project progresses Additional public involvement will be conducted throughout the
development of the project
NCDOT proposes the construction of a four-lane, median-divided roadway on a
new location from the Graham Street / Sugar Creek Road intersection, from Garrison
Road to W T Harris Boulevard The proposed improvements will accommodate the
expected increase in traffic on Mallard Creek Road and provide safety
