Eric:
Coming east from Chocowinity you will be on NC 33. As you come into
Aurora, there will be an intersection where there is a Dollar General and
the Wayside Restaurant, both on the left. The intersection is where NC 306
turns left (north) toward our plantsite. Stay straight on NC 33 past that
intersection, and about 100 yards on your right will be a small brick
office building for the PCS Land Office. It will take about 40 minutes
from Washington, 30 minutes from Chocowinity.

The details for the August 19 field visit: We will meet at the PCS Land
Office on Hwy 33 coming into Aurora at 9:30 next Tuesday, 8/19. We will
spend the day south of Aurora, and we will look at the "P" Lands, South
Creek Corridor preservation parcels, Bay City Farm, "U" Lands, Gum Run, and
Sections H,I, and J of the Parker Farm. All of these are written up,
including aerial photos and other graphics, in Appendix I of the FEIS.
If you plan to be here, please e-mail me back so that we know to look for
you. Bring water and a lunch. The phone number for the Land Office is
[phone].
The field visit on August 26 will be to Sage Gut, near Belhaven. More
details on that next week.
