Subject:public comment about the Atlantic Coastal Pipeline
Thank you for allowing me to submit my public comments on the Atlantic Coastal Pipeline. I am an
ecologist and educator in Durham, NC, and I am strongly against the construction of the Atlantic
Coastal Pipeline. This pipeline will do strong damage to wetlands, rivers and streams, and will harm
animal and plant life along its path. In addition, it serves the fossil-fuel industry at a time when we
need to put much more effort into renewable energy sources. It does not provide for monitoring or
regulation of the damage done to wetlands and forests along its path.
This pipeline will at best produce short-term benefits, but will incur large, long-term costs. We cannot
afford to damage our natural resources and to exacerbate climate change. Please do not allow the
Atlantic Coastal Pipeline.
Sincerely,
Tracy S. Feldman
